Congratulations to Merseyside and Northern Field Official Dean Williams,  a well deserved winner in the ‘Officials Developer’ category of the national Sports Officials UK Awards dinner on Wednesday evening.

Merseyside County Fell Championships

The 2017 Merseyside County Fell Championships will be held at the Pendle Fell Race in Barley (nr Burnley) on the 1st April 2017 (NOT Llantysilio as previously stated due to a clash with the English Fell Championship race at Long Mynd). The race is 4.5 miles with 1499 ft of ascent. Entry is £4 on the day plus £3 to enter the county championships. After registering at the main race athletes must bring their number to the Merseyside County desk to declare themselves for the county champs.

n.b. This is a departure from previous years at Rivington Pike and the decision to change is based on finding a race, reasonably nearby, that is better representative of the type of race that will be encountered at Inter Counties.

GP Winners

The presentation of awards for this year’s Grand Prix will take place on  Saturday 5 November at the  Halewood 5k (immediately after the race at approx 10.45am).
