A successful Cross Country Championships were held on 7th January on a compact Sherdley Park course, well organised by St Helens Sutton AC and county Cross Country Championships Secretary, Mike Dooling. Two courses are coming up at Wavertree shortly. Level 1 Track & Field Official; Sunday 19th February. This is the course for new Track and Field officials, ie Field Judges, Track Judges, Timekeepers, Starter / Marksmen. The 2016 Merseyside Cross Country Championships were held on a muddy Arrowe Park course on the Wirral, on Saturday 9th January, hosted by Wirral AC, the use of the park and pavilion kindly provided by Wirral MBC. 369 runners finished, including the non-championship 9 and 10 year old races. Cross country races run under UKA Rules should be permitted. A Cross Country Permit form and guide book are available on the Northern Athletics website at http://www.northernathletics.org.uk/cross-country/cross-country-permits/.
Applications should be made at least eight weeks before the event.
